Oh Buenos Aires.... how I love you!

Here is some taste of my last adventure in South America, a year ago.

Oh the passion filled nights in Buenos Aires.... dancing the nights away to the irresistable sounds of Carlos Gardel and tasting the best steak in the world. Watching sunsets from the rooftop of one of the coolest hostels I've stayed at, Hostel Estoril. I was about to say sunrises, but with the late night, or should I say, early morning nights out, sunrises were nearly impossible. Except for the last night there, Laura and I, welcomed the sun from the living room of our hostel while hearing some beautiful tunes of our Israeli friends' guitar strumming and singing. Oh the life.... :) Music, rhythm, amazing food and unforgettable moments with some newfound friends and some from before. Laura, who I met in Buenos Aires, had become a dear friend whom I was fortunate enough to make some everlasting memories in Buenos Aires as well as the rest of Argentina. She is an amazing woman and an avid traveler who continues to inspire me to be my best and always follow my dreams. So good luck in your own travels my little Shakira ;)
Also I got to see my dear friend Juan, whom I met on my first traveling adventure in Europe, Amsterdam to be exact. He has also followed his dream and traveled the world. Although you're not doing that at the moment, I know that you'll make it out into the world again! :)

Day one of Ashtanga Yoga Mysore teacher training course.

I had these ideas of where I was in terms of my yoga practice understanding, the spirituality of it, my flexibility and many other elements that are involved in the practice of yoga, but all of that knowledge was shaken up today. There is so much that I need to learn and understand about this practice which has existed for thousands of years. All the knowledge that I thought I had needs to be put aside and I need to be like a child. Goodmorning Bangkok!

So here I am, back in the city where my Asian odyssey began. Good old Bangkok! I didn't get to explore it much the first time around because of the sensory overload my first day in Asia. I ran away from this city screaming for air, fresh air that is and more space with less people. But now, since I've been around the block a little, the Asia block that is, I feel ready to take on this beast. So I am giving it a proper chance this time. I have four and a half days to run around Bangkok and see why this city is all about. The journey from Koh Pangan took a total of 19 long hours. One boat and two bus rides later, I pulled up next to Kao San Road a little after 7am surprisingly rested and ready to take on the city.
