A Blast from the Past

An early morning run and yoga in the park is sure to start your day off right! I was practicing my warrior stance while little kiddies were starting to rush to school through the park. The sun was slowly illuminating the treetops, casting a beautiful shade of soft orange over the whole park.

This Monday was started by perusing down Portobello Road and window shopping in the antique an vintage shops covering plenty of ground in that neighborhood. I missed the weekend market this time so I figured I would still go there and pay tribute to that lovely area.

After a nice, casual walk I hopped back on the tube and got myself to the British Museum. There, the marvelous high dome glass ceiling creates a very royal atmosphere. The walls are all white and the natural light is bursting through all the crevices. I was taken back in time as far as Mesopotamia as well as the existance of different Gods and deities from all around the world.

Camden Town Market

After the British Museum, the Museum of London was calling my name. I answered and went to see what that place had to offer. It was also lovely but halfway through it, my body and mind were screaming for some fresh air. That's when I decided to hop on the Northern line on the tube and head up to Camden Town to stroll around Camden Market and the super chilled out yet very trendy, Camden Street. I didn't do any shopping there, instead I just watched and admired all the different people and trends that surrounded me.

Louisa & I (so romantic!!) :p
I was getting a bit tired of walking around and taking in everything around me, so decided to head back towards "home". I ended up stopping at Hammersmith station and bought a couple different kinds of cheese, a fresh baguette and a bottle of wine, and went to my cousin Ema's place and had a little bit of girl time. I got to hang out with beautiful Ema and her little angel, Becky. Nice and sweet.

Yesterday was a lovely day of seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Going back to my South American journey days... I got to see Louisa and Navin who I volunteered with at PSF (Pisco Sin Fronteras) in Peru and who were also my roommates. Such lovely people, with kind, beautiful hearts. Also I had the pleasure of meeting a darling girl who was also a volunteer at PSF but after I had left already, Sabia. We all got to chat a little bit after meeting up and Navin, Sabia and I got to go on the Thames river cruise, courtesy of Louisa (thank you!!). Then after, Navin, Sabia and I visited the lovely Ideal Home Christmas Show, also courtesy of Louisa, who unfortunately still had to work.
It was so lovely catching up with everyone and the day was just one of those days that nothing goes wrong. It all was just wonderful.

Navin, Sabia and I on the Thames River Cruise
After the show, the three of us headed back to the South Bank and walked along the river at the yearly Christmas Market. Hopefully I get to see these amazing people before leaving but if not, best of luck to you guys and I hope to see you soon!

Another reunion this evening! My Argentina/Chile partner in crime, Angus. So excited!
