The end is near...
Time is winding down and I have exactly one week left in Asia. I've spent five and a half months making my way through beautiful places, meeting wonderful people and learning about new cultures. It has been a great adventure which I have been very lucky to be a part of.
I started in Thailand, thrown right into Bangkok, which I happily left after only a day and a half. Moved up north and loved every minute of it. Thailand was a great place to start. After that came Laos which I was accompanied by lovely Spanish and Argentinian crew for a couple of weeks. Laos had a certain something; the people were so kind and some places were preserved in time. Next came Cambodia which proved to be the place where I overstayed my visa and fell in love. Well it was the other way around I guess. Nonetheless, it was a great country from which I came out with plenty of memories and some very good friends. Next was Vietnam, a place of contradiction, warm people as well as people who were constantly trying to take advantage. Very diverse, yet I came out of the country with a smile after spending some time with the immigration officers, drinking some tea, smoking a cigarette and playing guitar for them. Awesome!
Then there was Malaysia. The land of kind people who said "Hello!" to me on the streets and wanted to take pictures with me. I climbed Mount Kinabalu and enjoying a few days of island hopping. Later I flew to the other side of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and had the pleasure of spending time with the guy who stole my heart in Cambodia.
I visited Singapore which proved to be an amazing city which I instantly fell in love with. Met some great people there as well, before flying back into Thailand, for some island time and slowly making my way up back to Bangkok. Again, I was lucky to spend two weeks with the same gentleman on a lovely island in Thailand. We parted ways and here I am in Koh Pangan. Last couple days of sunshine before going to the big city and giving it a fair chance. I will explore Bangkok and then fly to Lithuania to see my grandparents and other people. Shhh! It's a secret though, my grandparents don't know I'm coming :)
So, to everyone who I had the pleasure to cross paths with, young and old, white and black, everyone and anyone; thank you from the bottom of my heart! And thank you to those who were following my journey from home, you all are with me in my thoughts :)
Although I am leaving Asia now, I do have a feeling I will be back... :)
P.s. going diving today. Hopefully seeing sharks!! :D
