I swam with sharks today!! :D

I am a very lucky girl! Besides the many amazing things I was able to do in this trip, I can add DIVING WITH SHARKS to the list. Yup, today I did two dives out at Sail Rock and witnessed not one, not two, but three sharks during the first dive. The second dive we saw a shark chase a fish and snap at it with its sharp teeth. It was exhilarating, breathtaking (not good when diving), and just out of this world.

I was seeing the intricate and colorful underwater world through my own little eyes. It was amazing. The fish and the corals that I saw were straight out of animal planet or discovery channel. Absolutely incredible!!!

What a great way to end my time on the island... Man, life is good. There's always sunshine after it rains. It's always there and I am so thankful.

I had these ideas of where I was in terms of my yoga practice understanding, the spirituality of it, my flexibility and many other elements that are involved in the practice of yoga, but all of that knowledge was shaken up today. There is so much that I need to learn and understand about this practice which has existed for thousands of years. All the knowledge that I thought I had needs to be put aside and I need to be like a child. Goodmorning Bangkok!

So here I am, back in the city where my Asian odyssey began. Good old Bangkok! I didn't get to explore it much the first time around because of the sensory overload my first day in Asia. I ran away from this city screaming for air, fresh air that is and more space with less people. But now, since I've been around the block a little, the Asia block that is, I feel ready to take on this beast. So I am giving it a proper chance this time. I have four and a half days to run around Bangkok and see why this city is all about. The journey from Koh Pangan took a total of 19 long hours. One boat and two bus rides later, I pulled up next to Kao San Road a little after 7am surprisingly rested and ready to take on the city.
