Picking up my backpack again
“The human heart has hidden treasures, In secret kept, in silence sealed; The thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures, Whose charms were broken if revealed”
-Charlotte Bronté from Jane Eyre
Today I received a letter in the mail which confirmed a plan, which has been brewing in my mind for quite some time now. It finalized a place for me, for the near future. It confirmed a desire, a need to be somewhere where I can be myself, be happy, be free. Also to be with someone with whom I can make that happen.
Another far away land. Exotic, hot, colorful, enchanting and full of promise. A month from now I will be in a new country, a place I've never been to before, however, a place which has enchanted me through stories, movies, and of course, with its delightful cuisine. It is rich in history, diversity and from what I've heard, it leaves an imprint on your soul which never fades away. Of course, I am talking India!
Am I excited yet? Of course!! I have already started packing. Although, this time packing will be relatively easy since I didn't finish fully unpacking my bag from my last journey which only just ended a couple weeks ago. Nonetheless, I am ready to go and am looking forward to what this new chapter of my life will bring forth.
This time, I only have a one way ticket. I finally learned my lesson! No more restrictions and rushing to be somewhere. Slowly, I want to take my time.
Next stop: Chennai, India!
See you on January 15th :)
