Open up your heart
"Every act of suffering, no matter how small or agonizingly great, is a test of love in some way."
-Shantaram
We, as humans, go through many trials and tribulations throughout our lives and that journey never seems to stop. It's a continuous road of discovery, disappointment, realization, suffering, love, hate, desire, passion, heartache, regret... Hopefully not too much regret but instead, lessons learned which hopefully lead to a more fulfilling future. But we don't know. We're only human after all. Animals. Cats and dogs. Fighting and getting along, compromising while attempting to happily coexist and actually enjoy our time here on earth while we can.
Nothing in this life is guaranteed. That is why we must follow our instincts and listen to our hearts. As crazy as they might seem sometimes.
Just like our bodies know what we need when we are getting sick; we feel cold, we shiver, so we put on a layer of clothes to keep our temperature at a warm, comfortable level. Same goes for our hearts sometimes. They know things before they're even there for us to see or realize. The heart is the source of life, it pumps blood to the rest of our bodies and it's bloody brilliant. It's resilient and it's strong. Although our heart warns us, sends us little sensations, whether it would be danger or an awakening of a soul nearby which is somehow connected to you. The heart knows. Sadly, too many times our mind pushes the heart away without any consideration.
The fear of the unknown. The small possibility of happiness or a complete failure. We never know. But we must try. Otherwise we're just like hamsters spinning in a never ending race against the wheel that goes nowhere. We must learn, we must grow, we must make mistakes. We must trust our own hearts before we can ever entrust them to anyone else.
