Nature, peace and beauty :)

The effects of nature on the human mind are incredible. Getting away from the city helps to clear the mind and open up your eyes to the beauty which surrounds us, regardless of where we are. No tall buildings, rolling hills, green grass, exotic flowers, waterfalls, lakes and endless sky. Yes, Breathe. Take it all in and enjoy.

Central California was so beautiful to see, especially after being in downtown San Diego for almost half a year now. And with each mile we drove, the most amazing nature's creations unfolded in front of our eyes. Every curve in the famous Route 1, which hugs the California coastline for miles upon miles of impressive landscapes and a never ending Pacific Ocean, brought many ooooo's and aaaaahhhh's and woooow's out of us. The more north we drove, the more incredible the views were becoming. And then I finally was starting to understand why people were so into California. It's absolutely beautiful and the natural beauty surprises you on every turn.

Yosemite National Park

Our ten day road trip was beautiful, spiritual and healing. I was enjoying myself so much that I didn't do much writing as our batteries were dead most of the time. It was good to be disconnected though.

Santa Barbara beach side
Fancy Santa Monica, posh Malibu, calm Oxnard, super thrift shopping in Ventura, relaxed and beautiful Santa Barbara, delicious clam chowder in Pismo Beach, gorgeous nature and town in San Luis Obispo, dreamy Cambria, elephant seal heaven in San Simeon, Santa Cruz and San Jose, lunch at Stanford University's beautiful campus, dinner with Laura in San Fran and then super city tour with the girls. After San Francisco, we made our way towards Yosemite, stopping an hour away from the park to sleep in a small town called Planada. Yosemite park was unfortunately full for camping so we enjoyed our day there doing a short hike and then went off to find our camping spot. We found the most gorgeous spot, with not too many people at all and no signs for "No Overnight Parking".

We spent two nights at Bass Lake after which we headed back down towards San Diego. A last lunch by the cliffs together in La Jolla like fancy girls and that was it. Ten days flew by! The magic that we felt was something pure an beautiful. I am really so grateful to have met these girls. Thanks for inviting me and for an unforgettable trip chicas!!!
