I want to take you to Venezuala after Essaouira... :)
The sounds and the visual pleasures combine with the rhythmic pulse of Essaouira leaving your soul in a happy trance of . Waking up in the medina or the old town is a treat for the ears. As your senses slowly start waking up and coordinating with each other, you start to pick out the separate sounds, which at a first glance seem to be random. But if you listen closely, you start to notice a perfect rhythm that's hiding in there. The most obvious sound is the animals, of course. The dogs, the cats and the birds beautifully participating in the harmony. Then there are the sounds of bicycles with people trying to get trough the narrow and maze like streets of the windy city. The men and women selling fruit and vegetables yelling enticements for people to choose their oranges over the oranges someone else is selling just across the street. The children are running around playing silly games and just being kids. All these sounds compose the beautiful symphony of life here in Essaouira. This place which welcomed me with open arms and a big smile on the faces of its people.
All the encounters I had during my short stay proved to have been meaningful, warm and thought provoking. People from all over the world and from all walks of life. Sharing short moments while making long lasting memories. That is the beauty of life and especially the life of a traveler.
Chance meetings, your smile returned with an even bigger smile and sometimes even a simple hello; that's what makes a beautiful day. These are good reminders of the fact that we don't need much as humans.
Be happy with the beautiful moments, take time to appreciate the people who are next to you and take the time to take your eyes off the blue screens and look up to the sky. Be one with nature because mother nature is the boss, so be good to it and be good to yourself. Respect, love, passion, adventure, beauty. Make them all a part of your life and don't forget to keep your heart open to new experiences, new feelings and new adventures. Let life take you where it wants to go and you just hold on tight and enjoy the ride. You never know when you will be asked to get off and it will be your last stop. Don't wait, do the things you love now so you never regret anything!
And this is my speech for the day, everyone :p
P.s. Essaouira is a kick ass place and I cannot wait to come back here one day!! :) also next time, I would like to see more of Morocco, since this time I only had seven days.
